The New York Jets have reportedly contacted the Denver Broncos saying that they would be interested in trading for the unhappy Jay Cutler. Denver has said that they would like to try and work things out with the pro-bowl quarterback before any trades will be reviewed, as they would love to have him back next season. I myself think Cutler would be a good fit with the Jets as they are trying to improve their offense. I myself am not a Jets fan but think if Cutler goes anywhere this is where he would end up.
Also, the Detroit Lions have been talking about contract with possible 1st round draft pick Matthew Stafford. It is believed he could be taken with the 1st pick as the Lions try and upgrade their offense after that 0-16 season they suffered last season.
Terrell Owens misses the teams first voluntary workout, which really doesnt surprise me. Also, DT Shaun Cody signed a 3 year deal with the Houston Texans today. I also found out that the first game of the NFL season will be September 10th and will be defending SB champions Pittsburgh Steelers taking on the Tennessee Titans. The Thanksgiving games will consist of the Oakland Raiders taking on the Dallas Cowboys, Green Bay Packers and the Detroit Lions, and finally the New York Giants taking on the Denver Broncos.
Finally in some baseball new pitcher Curt Schilling has decided to call it quits. Schilling played 20 seasons in the major leagues with 3 different teams. He started out with the Phillies, then went on to win a World Series with the Arizona Diamondbacks, he spent his last 5 seasons with the Boston Red Sox where he won 2 World Series one in 04 and the other in 07. He had 3, 20 win seasons and finished his career with a 216-146 record pitching in 83 complete games. He had a 3.46 ERA and 3,116 Ks and was a 6 time all star.
